Feature: Scotty Soultronic and the Solar Flying Saucer

I wanted to introduce Scotty Soultronic (aka the metal artist Scott Whitaker) and his famous flying Saucer... I've know known Scotty for years mostly related to his misc activities at local events here in the Park City area including a huge Halloween party in the middle of summer called Summerween - which is just awesome (and better than Halloween itself if you ask me), his interest in biodiesel fuel, his interest in welding and metal where he makes all sorts of neat stuff out of surplus steel, and a slew of other events. That - and he's a hell of guy...

Scotty is one of Utah's long time burners and he does a bunch of stuff for a living including basically just living his lifestyle. Once upon a time he was a professional hacker (how neat is that). Then turned metal artist and between that and taking the solar saucer to events around the country it's pretty much become a full time gig. I got a tour of it at a block party here in Park City about two weeks ago. All in all he treks it to anywhere from about 10-20 events a year including a Bay Area inauguration block party where he powered 10 bands for three very cloudy days of almost no sunlight, and the famous SXSW in Austin Texas.
